(1) MPLS-SDN and use cases: We are demonstrating network architecture that combines and leverages MPLS and SDN technology. Centralized network controller with standard protocol support (stateful-PCE) manipulates LSP and bandwidth dynamically and flexibly by easy-to-use programmability. The exhibit shows several use cases and applications with their benefit to end users.

(2) VOLT (Versatile OpenFlow vaLidator), OpenFlow network debug system: Visualizing an OpenFlow controller’s behavior, this system supports flow-designers and operators to validate flow entries and to analyze network failures. We are demonstrating how VOLT cooperates with a third-party controller (floodlight), switches (OVS) and a virtual network (Mininet).

Keio University Yamanaka Lab. demonstrates the OLT live migration by network function virtualization: Elastic Lambda Aggregation Network (EλAN)is proposed to improve the transmission efficiency and reduce the total energy consumption by integration of access networks of different services. In EλAN, Logical Optical Line Terminals (L-OLT) can be migrated between programmable OLTs (P-OLT), and can be migrated from one central office to another central office without service interruption.
