MPLS 2005 INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE
8th Annual International Conference on MPLS and Related Technologies ABOUT MPLS 2005 MPLS 2005, to be held in Washington DC, October 16-19, is the 8th annual International Conference on Multi Protocol Label Switching and related technologies. The conference is part of a series that was was pioneered in 1998 with the first ever conference on MPLS. Since its inception, the conference has become the premier event on the subject of MPLS, Generalized MPLS (GMPLS), IP-Optical, and emerging Internet technologies. The conference program consists of tutorials, technical sessions, as well as service provider and vendor panel discussions. An exhibit area showcases products and services from industry leaders. Keynotes are given each year by high-profile experts - last year at MPLS 2004, FCC Commissioner Kathleen Abernathy discussed the regulatory framework for IP-enabled services. The MPLS 2005 International Conference is sponsored and supported by leaders of the Internet industry from both service provider and vendor community. Service Providers supporting MPLS 2005 this year include NTT, KDDI, MCI, Acreo, Deutsche Telecom, France Telcom, AT&T, and BTNAccess. Vendors that will be showcasing their latest IP/MPLS/Optical products and services during the four days include ADC, Alcatel, Avici Systems, Chiaro Networks, Ciena Corporation, Cisco Systems, Data Connection, Extreme Networks, Isocore Corporation, IXIA, Juniper Networks, Laurel Networks, Lucent Technologies, Mangrove Systems, Nortel Networks, Quarry Technologies, Redback Networks, Spirent Communications, Tellabs, and WANDL. The conference will be followed by the 6th Public Interoperability Demonstration which will take place at the Isocore Internetworking Lab.
