Ryan Korte, Chief Network Architect for WilTel Communications' Vyvx video network, has more than 15 years of experience in developing and managing advanced fiber-optic network architecture for both Fortune 500 enterprise companies and nationwide telecommunications carriers. In his current position as Chief Network Architect for WilTel Communications' Vyvx subsidiary, he is responsible for the strategic technology direction and development of all media-related networks, products and services. Vyvx is America's largest provider of fiber-optic and satellite transmission services for media and entertainment companies, delivering nearly 200,000 live video feeds and 5 million spot advertisements and media content for its customers annually.
Under Korte's direction, Vyvx launched HD VenueNet , the industry's first fiber-optic network for delivering live high-definition television (HDTV) feeds over an MPLS architecture. HD VenueNet delivered the primary HDTV feed of the Super Bowl for the past two seasons, as well as all of Fox Sports' 720p HDTV feeds for the entire 2004 NFL season.
