Florin is the Network Engineering prime for Ethernet Services and L2 VPNs over MPLS for Nortel Multiservice Provider Edge 9000 Router and Ethernet Routing Switch 8600. He is also active in IETF PWE3 and L2VPN Working Groups, being the author of an IETF draft on the subject.

Florin has 12 years relevant experience, working for the last nine years at Nortel, in the Global Data Network Engineering team. During his career at Nortel he was Network Engineering prime for different projects in the area of IP Services, DSL and ATM/FR. Prior to joining Nortel he worked for France Telecom in Europe for three years.
