Erik Sherk has been working with the Internet for 15 years. He has the
unusual distinction
of starting the public IP NOC for both Sprint and MCI. He joined UUNET in
1995 and built the
first STM-1 IP backbone in Europe. He has worked in Operations, running the
third level support
organization, and worked in Europe integrating a number of different
acquisitions. He currently
works in the Architecture organization of WorldCom on new technology
development.
